THE BATTLEMAGE

Most sorcerers keep their distance using their brains and casting from afar. Battlemages don’t. This rare breed strides into the thick of combat, blending the precision of a warrior with the devastating force of arcane magic. They are forged through discipline, awakened by innate power, and defined by their ability to turn every strike into a conduit for elemental fury.
Originating from the Ignaran Revolutionary army, foreign sorcerers bestowed their magic knowledge on the brute, fiery warriors who were battered by combat.
Through years of mixing their existing combat skills with their new-found magic arsenal, Battlemages found mastery in imbuing their weapons with magic. It’s become a devastating discipline of fighting.
From the moment you choose the Battlemage at 3rd level, you gain Imbuement Mastery, allowing you to charge your weapon with elemental energy, store a prepared spell within its steel, or bind it to fate’s unpredictable hand with Lucky Draw. As you advance, your Arcane Strikes grow in potency, your Arcane Surges ripple outward with explosive force, and new imbuements expand your tactical options—whether that means teleporting into a better position, gaining skill bonuses, or striking again in a heartbeat.
By 14th level, Arcane Charge lets you weave melee attacks and spellcasting into seamless, devastating combos. And at the pinnacle of your power, Arcane Overdrive pushes your magic beyond mortal limits, amplifying every blow and turning you into an unstoppable storm. Though, for a price.
Who is the Battlemage for?
If you’re the kind of player who wants to be in the center of the action, charging headlong into danger while unleashing elemental magic, this subclass is for you. Battlemages thrive in situations that demand adaptability: holding the front line, punishing enemies who get too close, and seizing opportunities to unleash precise, high-impact bursts of damage.
Whether you picture yourself clad in charred armor or wielding an arcane-forged staff, the Battlemage isn’t just about raw power—it’s about control, momentum, and making every swing count. In the right hands, a Battlemage is both shield and sword, storm and steel.

Hansen, Innkeeper of Azure’s Den
Hansen is a towering human with broad shoulders, a barrel chest, and arms as thick as tree trunks. Despite his goliath stature, he is remarkably neat and approachable, with neatly trimmed hair falling to his chest and a booming laugh that makes him the heart of Azure’s Den. His scarred hands tell of countless brawls settled without malice. He is often seen wearing his sturdy tunic and a tattered apron featuring an illustration of a dwarf holding a beer and exclaiming, “Another!”
Born an orphan to dwarven ex-adventurers, Hansen grew upon tales of legendary taverns, places where kinship and ale flowed freely. That dream became his purpose.
Azure’s Den may not be legendary yet, but its roaring hearth and sturdy beams welcome weary travelers. To Hansen, a tavern is more than a place to drink: it is a refuge, a meeting ground, and the birthplace of history. One story at a time.
